Ok. Let's get the icebreaker basics out of the way:
I'm 30 years old
I'm from Oklahoma
I have a fur baby named Dutchess
I'm single
Now you know me. I always wanted to study abroad so it would be easy to explore multiple countries in a year, but had serious fomo on college life. Fast forward 3 years after graduation, and I was extremely bored and regretted not doing more while in college. So I started an alcohol infused ice cream truck (plug www.tipsy-treats.com) as a side hustle, because why not. A year later, I was still slinging ice cream part-time, but really felt like I could be doing more. I scraped what money I didn't put into ice cream together and bought a one-way plane ticket to Greece (I flew back from another country). I planned out every single hour of this trip. I even scheduled naps, like this was the real deal. All of the planning really got me excited, and made me want to keep planning more trips, and explore other countries. I had never been one to enjoy museums, in fact I somewhat detest them. However, I had probably 20 museum stops for this Greece trip lined up, because I really wanted to immerse myself in the country, not just lie on a beach the entire time and have nothing to show for except a heat rash and darker skin. I also kind of wanted to prove my aunt wrong, who called me "uncultured" way back in high school. So, like Migos, I'm doing it for the culture.
Well, that's the basics, I'll keep you updated on my international travels, and share travels past in the meantime. I'll also share tips on budgeting, sightseeing, and packing. I hope you enjoy!
